The bell was recovered confirming the identification of the wreck. China bearing the owners name has also been recovered.

The wreck of the Vasco lies in deep a general depth of 32m. She sits upright and stands 5m in the middle. The bows lie to the South east and disappears into the silt. The bow struck the first mine and is consequently broken.
