Boat Trips

A boat trip from Brighton offers you the opportunity to see the city from a new perspective. A boat trip on Defiance differs from a typical sightseeing trip in that the passengers are only your friends and family. This means you can plug in your iPod and listen to your music. Spread out and enjoy a picnic, whilst taking in the view. A boat trip is ideal for a birthday treat or as part of a hen/stag party celebration.

1 Hour Boat Trip

A typical 1-hour boat trip will be from Brighton Marina along the seafront of Brighton. The first part of the trip takes you along Madeira Drive which is the finishing post for all the London-Brighton rallies such as the famous Veteran car run. The boat will travel a few hundred metres from shore passing the new wheel, before taking a detour out to pass the Brighton Pier. Past this pier you will continue along Brighton seafront and then past the remains of the West Pier.  Shortly after the West Pier the boat will turn around off Hove and head back towards the Marina.

This trip is generally the one preferred by stag and hen parties in the afternoon, before getting changed and going out for the evening.

2 Hour Boat Trip

A 2 hour boat trip to the west extends the 1 hour trip to continue along Hove front and down towards Shoreham Harbour, which not only is a busy port, but the chosen home of celebrities such as Fat Boy Slim. A quick tour of the Marina to view all the boats is also a popular in the extra time of a 2 hour cruise.

An alternative is to head East from Brighton. The Marina is the start of the white chalk cliffs that dominate the South East coastline. Heading East you will pass land-marks such as Roedean School, Rottingdean Windmill and Saltdean Lido. Eventually passing the port of Newhaven, the boat will turn in Seaford Bay before heading back.

The trip will then take you up towards the lighthouse before turning around to return to Brighton. The country park is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
